CBRS Users Defend Band to FCC

CBRS stakeholders are urging the FCC to protect the 3.5 GHz shared spectrum model, arguing it has fueled innovation, private wireless growth, and broadband expansion across the U.S. Read why industry leaders say the future of shared spectrum is at stake.

Federated Wireless launches Spectrum AI for shared spectrum

Federated Wireless today announced general availability of Spectrum AI, which follows on the Adaptive Network Planner (ANP) the company unveiled earlier this year. Together, they’re providing network operators with the tools they need to make better informed decisions. With a 3D modeling tool, network engineers can look at rooftops to see where they want to put an antenna and whether they would get a better signal if they moved it another meter or raised it a couple of feet.

Federated Wireless bulks up on AI to unlock CBRS capacity

Federated Wireless is placing a bigger bet on AI with a new platform that it claims can vastly improve the performance and efficiency of CBRS shared-spectrum network deployments without more spectrum or infrastructure. The launch of the new platform, called “Spectrum AI,” is largely focused on cable operators and mobile operators that are deploying CBRS networks. It marks Federated’s second AI product launch this year.

Federated Wireless powers private 5G network for US Marine Corps

Federated Wireless is powering a private 5G network for the U.S. Marine Corps, demonstrating how shared spectrum and advanced network management can deliver secure, high-performance connectivity in mission-critical environments. The deployment highlights the growing role of private 5G in defense applications, enabling enhanced communications, operational efficiency, and real-time data capabilities for military operations.

Federated Wireless Enables High-Power 6 GHz Operation with GVP Device Support

Federated Wireless announced it will extend its Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) platform to support Geofenced Variable Power (GVP) devices in the 6 GHz band, following the FCC’s recent approval of this new category of unlicensed equipment. This expansion will allow device manufacturers and network operators to deploy mobile and portable 6 GHz systems at higher power levels within defined geographic areas.

Federated Wireless targets new GVP devices in the 6GHz band

Federated Wireless is extending its leadership in shared spectrum into the 6GHz band, targeting new GVP devices to enable more efficient and scalable wireless deployments. Building on its proven CBRS expertise, the company is helping unlock next-generation connectivity while ensuring reliable performance and intelligent spectrum coordination.

U.S. Marine Corps Grants Authority to Operate for the First and Only On-Prem 5G Private Infrastructure Network in the Department of War, Advancing Industrial Automation

The U.S. Marine Corps has granted an Authority to Operate for the first fully on-premises 5G Private Infrastructure Network in the Department of War, deployed at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany through a contract with Federated Wireless and its partners JMA Wireless and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

RTX BBN Technologies leads multi-team effort to demonstrate secure, real-time spectrum coexistence for 5G, defense radar

Federated Wireless will bring dynamic spectrum management capabilities to optimize shared spectrum usage.
